Our Client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex utility and infrastructure projects from planning and mobilisation through to delivery and close-out.
 
This could suit an experienced Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Programme Manager, Senior Consultant or similar professional with a background in utilities, infrastructure, construction or a related environment.
 
You’ll work closely with clients, technical teams, suppliers and operational stakeholders,taking ownership of programme, commercial performance, risk, resources and delivery.
 
There is also potential scope to take responsibility for larger programmes, multiple projects and broader business improvement initiatives.

 

Responsibilties:

 

  • Lead utility and infrastructure projects through planning, mobilisation, delivery and completion.
  • Manage programmes, resources, budgets, risks, procurement and project dependencies.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain commercial control across budgets, forecasts, variations and margin.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Identify delivery risks and lead recovery actions where required.
  • Ensure projects are properly planned, resourced and supported before mobilisation.
  • Oversee quality, safety, technical and contractual requirements throughout delivery.
  • Support commissioning, handover, close-out and lessons learned.
  • Lead and develop project teams and contribute to continuous improvement.

 

Requirements:
     

  • Relevant project management, engineering, construction or utility qualifications are beneficial.
  • Proven project or programme management experience within utilities,infrastructure, construction, civil engineering or a closely related environment.
  • Experience delivering projects within electricity, gas, water, multi-utility or similar infrastructure.
  • Experience within ICP, DNO, IDNO, utility networks or similar environments.
  • Strong understanding of programme, commercial, risk and stakeholder management.
  • Experience managing suppliers, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
