IT SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST
Location: Westville, KwaZulu-Natal
Our client, based in Westville, is seeking an experienced IT Solutions Specialist to join their team.
You will collaborate with the sales team and technical division to develop tailored solutions that deliver business value, strengthen client relationships, and expand on the existing regional client base and sales pipeline.
Responsibilties:
- Work alongside the sales team to identify client needs and uncover new IT business opportunities.
- Carry out on-site assessments and consult with clients to understand their technical requirements.
- Develop tailored solutions across the following areas:
- Managed IT Services
- Networking and IT Infrastructure
- Microsoft 365 and Cloud Solutions
- Cybersecurity, including firewalls, endpoint protection and email security
- Prepare technical proposals, pricing recommendations and solution designs.
- Deliver client presentations, explain the value of proposed solutions and support the sales process through to deal closure.
- Drive the growth of recurring revenue through the expansion of managed services.
Requirements:
- Matric.
- Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA, MikroTik, Microsoft, CompTIA or Sophos) will be advantageous.
- At least 2 years experience in a IT pre-sales, managed service provider (MSP) or IT sales environment.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching and Wi-Fi.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365, firewalls, cloud solutions, cybersecurity and server fundamentals.
- Ability to explain technical solutions in terms of business value.
- Familiarity with Reyee/Ruijie, Sophos or MikroTik product lines will be beneficial.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work confidently in a client-facing role.
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport for regular site visits is essential.
