SERVICE SUPERVISOR [MANUFACTURING]
Location: Benoni, Gauteng
Our client is a leading global manufacturer and service provider of industrial electrical and power generation equipment, with a strong presence across Africa. They are looking for an experienced Service Supervisor to lead their steam turbine field service team.
Responsibilties:
- Lead, plan and schedule field service teams on steam turbine projects
- Make sure the right people, tools, equipment and materials are in place for each job
- Oversee site work to ensure safety, quality and customer requirements are met
- Monitor job hours and costs, and take corrective action where needed
- Use SAP for planning, job costing, time recording and reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational, progress and resource reports
- Support proposals and tenders with input on labour, tooling, travel and risk
- Manage non-conformances, incident investigations and quality audits
- Handle team management, including leave, overtime, appraisals, training and performance
- Build strong customer relationships and represent the company professionally on site
Requirements:
- Matric
- Significant experience in steam turbine services, rotating equipment, power generation or heavy industry
- Proven experience leading field service technicians
- Hands-on experience in turbine installation, commissioning, maintenance, overhaul or troubleshooting
- Experience in resource planning, job costing and operational reporting
- Experience using SAP
- Knowledge of quality management systems and health and safety requirements
- Valid driver’s licence
- Valid passport
Advantageous
- Mechanical Fitter trade, or a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering
- Experience supporting technical and commercial proposals
