SENIOR PROTECTION & AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN [MINING]

 

Location: Centurion, Gauteng

 

Our client based in Centurion is looking for a Senior Protection and Automation Technician with a focus on protection.

 

Responsibilities:

 

      • Network Maintenance
      • Technical report preperations & client presentations
      • Troubleshooting and RCA (root-cause analysis)
      • Repairs, replacement and wiring
      • LV/MV/HV support for swtiching operations and isolation procedures
      • Lead installations and configurations of protection relays using software, control systems and metering equiment according to project specifications
      • Oversee proper wiring, connections and set up with electrical codes and standards
      • Ensure safety compliance

Requirements:

 

      • Matric
      • BTech or N.dip in Electrical Engineering
      • ORHVS
      • ECSA registration is advantageous
      • 5+ years experience with 380 up to 33000 volts
      • Mining environment experience
