SENIOR BUSINESS PROCESS ARCHITECT
Location: Sandton, Johannesburg.
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Architect to lead business process transformation initiatives by analysing, designing, and optimising end-to-end business processes. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate strategic objectives into scalable process solutions that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business performance.
The successful candidate will have strong business architecture, process improvement, and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Architecture, Business Analysis, Process Management, Enterprise Architecture, or Management Consulting.
- Proven experience analysing, designing, and improving business processes.
- Strong knowledge of BPMN and business process modelling methodologies.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with senior business stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical documentation and functional specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within Agile project environments is advantageous.
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
- BPMN 2.0 and DMN
- Workflow or Business Process Management platforms (Camunda, Appian, Pega, IBM BPM, Bizagi, or similar)
- Business process modelling tools such as Camunda Modeler, Visio, Signavio, or Lucidchart
- REST APIs, integrations, microservices, and event-driven architecture (conceptual understanding)
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, or Monday.com
Advantageous Experience:
- Digital transformation programmes
- Customer journey mapping and service design
- Operating model and governance design
- Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Telecommunications, or other regulated industries
- Client-facing consulting or pre-sales experience
