CONTRACTS MANAGER [CIVIL & CONSTRUCTION]

 

Location: Bellville, Western Cape.

 

Our client based in the Western Cape is looking for a Contracts Manager to ensure that all works are executed within budget, safely and maintain great client relationships. The ideal candidate has experience managing contracts of over R5 million.

 

Responsibilities:

 

      • Manage civil engineering projects from award through to successful completion.
      • Oversee contract administration, including claims, variations, and contractual compliance.
      • Plan, programme, and monitor project progress to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
      • Manage project costs, procurement, subcontractors, and overall commercial performance.
      • Lead site operations, ensuring quality workmanship, safe work practices, and efficient resource utilisation.
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
      • Ensure compliance with OHSA, project specifications, and company quality standards.
      • Coordinate plant, equipment, and material resources to maximise productivity.
      • Lead, mentor, and manage site personnel, including Site Agents, Foremen, Surveyors, and Quantity Surveyors.
      • Drive project profitability while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

     

Requirements:

 

            • Matric.
            • National Diploma or BTech in Civil Engineering (Minimum).
            • BEng/BSc Civil Engineering (Preferred).
            • ECSA Registration or progress towards registration (Preferred).
            • 8+ years in Civil Engineering.
            • Minimum 5+ years managing contracts from R5 Million and over.
