FINANCE MANAGER [AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURING]
Location: Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal
Our client in Pinetown is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team.
You will be responsible and accountable for all the financials of the South African based facility. This varies from input, output, interpretation, analyzing, presentation, reporting and management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the finance department, ensuring effective day-to-day financial operations and support to the business.
- Ensure financial compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, accounting standards and company policies.
- Manage and oversee standard costing, financial planning and profit plan vs actual performance, identifying variances and areas requiring attention.
- Develop, implement and maintain financial policies, procedures and internal controls to support sound financial governance.
- Review, verify and approve financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, appropriate authorisation and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare, manage and monitor the finance department budget, as well as provide financial input and oversight into the budgets of other business units.
- Provide management with accurate financial reporting, analysis and insights to support business planning and decision-making.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital and general financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities to management.
- Coordinate and manage the annual year-end audit process, ensuring financial records and supporting documentation are accurate and audit-ready.
- Lead, develop and support the finance team, ensuring clear responsibilities, effective performance and adherence to required financial processes.
Requirements:
- Matric.
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance / Relevant tertiary qualification.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a finance management role.
- Experience in managing staff and available resources.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance.
- Good organisational and leadership skills.
