TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE [MANUFACTURING]
Location: Durban
Our client within the manufacturing sector is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join their team.
Candidates will ideally be able to read and interpret drawings and have good technical knowledge / experience – for custom manufacturing / component manufacturing outsourced services.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and establish relationships with external clients.
- Proactively generate sales leads and manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals.
- Understand client needs and translate these into custom manufacturing solutions using the company’s internal capabilities.
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales to achieve set sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful production and delivery of products to external clients.
- Stay up to date with market trends and identify new business opportunities.
- Any other functions that may require the incumbent to perform or assist with from time to time.
Requirements:
- Matric.
- Experience as an External Sales Rep, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering sector.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
- A good sales track record.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- A self-starter, keen, ambitious, and hungry to get results. Relentless and experienced in reaching out to leads and generating sales.
- Excellent verbal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
