Our manufacturing client is looking for a SHEQ Officer to join their team.




  • Ensure site adherence to the OHS Act and conduct site safety inspections to ensure work is conducted in a safe manner.
  • Compile and maintain company safety file and update all relevant SHEQ dicuments.
  • Review and update Risk assessments.
  • Conduct safety Induction training and organise staff statutory training.
  • Prepare for Annual Safety Audits.
  • Implementation of ISO 9001 Quality management system.
  • Ensure machine calibrations are done and updating calibration registers.
  • Organising employee annual medical surveillance.
  • Conduct Weekly toolbox talk meetings.
  • Raising NCR’s and investigate non-conformance.
  • Conduct quality inspection of products, quality tests on raw materials and rejecting defected products.
  • Signing off production Certificate of Compliance (COC)
  • Conduct monthly SHE committee Meetings.
  • Conduct incident investigations and update incident register.
  • Filling out IOD forms.
  • Emergency Preparedness.
  • Monitoring contractor performance.
  • Conduct first aid box monthly audits and fire extinguisher monthly inspections.
  • Effective management and distribution of PPE.




  • Must have at least Grade 12 with Mathematics and English.
  • Essential requirement is a SAMTRAC Certificate.
  • Advance Computer Knowledge in Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to work as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours when required.
