SALES ANALYST

Location: DurbanĀ 

Our client in Durban is looking for a Sales Analyst to join their team.

Working with the Sales Department, the Sales Analyst will be responsible for compiling and analysing sales data and reports, and then providing feedback and recommendations that will help guide sales activities, as well as provide insight into sales operations.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Sales order management:

  • Ensuring that orders are accurately and timeously captured by team, and that any discripencies are rectified.
  • Ensuring that the warehouse team is aware of delivery dates requested, and that appropriate billing action is taken once confirmed.
  • Following-up queries for deliveries, returns, schedules, claims, export in support of sales admin.
  • Exports: liaising with distributors, ensures payments are received by deadlines, liaising with freight forwarders, ensures all relevant documentation is prepared and filed, ensures stock availability, prepares pro-forma invoices, etc.
  • Creates SKU codes through portal, and administration thereafter.
  • Assists with preparing final Annual Price list increases, and monitors distribution of price lists to customers and acceptance dates thereof. Loads customer pricing on SAP.

Sales reporting (SAP), including but not limited to:

  • Extracting, organising, compiling and presenting accurate, up-to-date reports.
  • Current sales, current sales vs previous sales, specific-brands, Sales Reps, customer sales, various sales analysis reports as requested by departments, etc.
  • Month-end reporting including close/open sales, rebate sales, commission reports, etc.
  • Sales forecasting.
  • Maintaining databases, including customer master data.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification - advantageous.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working on an ERP System.
  • Ability to analyse large amounts of data, accurately project sales trends, identify sales opportunities, and provide guidance to optimise sales strategies.
