Our client in The Netherlands is looking for a software looking to relocate with a valid South African passport .

As a Robotics Engineer, you will be involved in the realisation of complex systems for processing and/or packaging products. This role applies high-quality technology through 2D and 3D vision systems with image processing software, combined with robot and industrial control systems. You will be partly responsible for the control engineering and commissioning of robot applications.




  • Develop and implement software for processing and packaging systems using 2D and 3D vision technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate robotic and vision systems.
  • Participate in the control engineering and commissioning of robot applications.
  • Test and validate software at customer locations, requiring international travel (approximately 25%).
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for installed systems.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal departments.




  • Tertiary qualification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for software testing at customer locations (approximately 25%).
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) in Dutch, English and German is an advantage.
  • Experience with programming systems such as TIA Portal, Studio 5000, and programming robots (ABB, Yaskawa, or similar).
  • Experience with higher programming languages such as C# and vision systems such as LMI is a plus.
