PRODUCTION SHIFT SUPERVISOR
Location: Durban
Our client in Durban is looking for a Production Shift Supervisor.
This position involves providing expertise in management of company resources, providing technical support and guidance to subordinates and ensuring efficient and smooth operation of production during the shift.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring efficient production output and meeting targets.
- Ensuring components are produced to specification and of high quality.
- Production team management during the shift.
- Training and development of personnel in a shift.
- Providing technical support where applicable.
- Ensuring compliance with all operational requirements (OHS / Quality / Administration).
- Support management in providing a harmonious working environment.
- Attend to adhoc duties and projects assigned.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification - advantageous.
- Experience in a Supervisory / Team Leader position.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to set priorities.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to develop, train and instruct team.
- Knowledge of quality management systems.
- Background in Machine Operating / Setting would be advantageous.
