PAYROLL & HR OFFICER

Location: Durban North

Our client based in Durban North is looking for a Payroll & HR Officer to join their team.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Process monthly and weekly payrolls.
  • Administer and capture leave forms.
  • EMP201 monthly.
  • Handle UIF queries and documents.
  • Prepare Department of Labour inspection documents.
  • Prepare reconciliation documents for SARS EMP audit.
  • Preparation and distribution of payslips.
  • Generate HR related reports.
  • Maintain staff files.
  • Drafting staff contracts from standard templates.
  • Process recruitment questionnaires (no decision making involved).
  • Process credit and criminal checks on new recruits.
  • Process the onboarding and termination of employees on the payroll system.
  • Create employee profiles on clocking system.
  • Load daily banking.
  • Various ad hoc admin duties.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Matric essential.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.
  • 5 years similar experience.
  • High attention to detail.
  • High degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Task driven and deadline orientated.
  • Super organised.
  • Ability to manage complex and high-volume payrolls.
  • Experience with Sage Pastel advantageous.
