MAINTENANCE MANAGER [MANUFACTURING]
Location: Durban
Our manufacturing client is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Plan scheduled maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance work is of an adequate standard and report on and address reworks.
- Ensure that critical spares are held in the engineering stores.
- Ensure that safe working procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure breakdowns are immediately attended to including afterhour call-outs.
- Ensure workshop equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Identify minor projects, repairs and refurbishment work that can be done in-house.
- Specify scope of work and source quotations from suppliers for spares and materials.
- Manage the engineering personnel through proper guidance.
- Inspection and discipline.
- Adherence to Safety, Health and Environmental standards in line with the OSHACT and ISO requirements.
- Oversee the maintenance and effective installation of all electrical mechanical equipment.
- Ensure the correct and efficient implementation and use of maintenance management system.
Requirements:
- Matric
- Trade Tested Fitter, Fitter & Turner or Millwright - advantageous
- Relevant tertiary qualification - advantageous
- Experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector
- Experience managing the maintenance department team
