FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER [HOSPITALITY]

Location: Durban

Our client, who is well-established in the high-end hospitality sector is looking for an experienced manager to lead their front of house in one of their Durban based branches.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Conducting and recording daily and monthly stock take.
  • Receiving stock from suppliers.
  • Cash and credit card control.
  • Liquor and food stock control.
  • Ensuring quality customer service and handling any customer complaints.
  • Maintaining high levels of food quality and presentation.
  • Customer and supplier relations.
  • First-Aid and safety.
  • Staff training and discipline.
  • Directing internal and external sales.
  • Driving promotions and specials.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene (pest control, toilets etc).
  • Energy control (electricity and gas).
  • Conducting staff meetings and increasing staff motivation.
  • Appropriate allocation of functions.
  • Inter-company cooperation.
  • Placing food and beverage orders.
  • Monitoring staff dress code and neatness.
  • Limiting wastage.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Matric.
  • Tertiary qualification in hospitality or business would be beneficial.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
  • Own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid drivers license.
  • Willing to work shifts.
  • Computer proficient
