CROSS BORDER ASSISTANT

Location: Ekurhuleni- East Rand

Our client, based in Gauteng, is looking for a Cross Border Assistant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Carry out on-site survey visits and quotes for removal of goods.
  • One-on-one meetings with clients and provide assistance where necessary.
  • Export and import documents: cross-border related - working closely with clearing agents to ensure smooth clearing of goods at the borders.
  • Check border documentation and PODs (port of discharge) when drivers return and ensure timeous submission of PODs.
  • Invoicing and submission of sales batches timeously.
  • Debtor follow ups with clients.
  • All forms of marketing to help generate new business for the branch.
  • Operational assistance.
  • Route planning.
  • Handling of corporate accounts.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Matric.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.
  • Ship-Shape Software experience advantageous.
  • Previous operations, sales, and customer service experience.
  • Valid driver's license (minimum code 8).
  • A geographical background and an understanding of relocations within the region.
  • Understanding of cross-border transport documents and clearance procedure.
  • Computer literacy on Google web-based applications, Excel, and Word.
  • Deadline driven with ability to carefully assess and streamline processes.
  • Must be able to handle pressure and be willing to work extended hours.
