COMMISSIONING TECHNICIAN - FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS [NETHERLANDS]

Location: Netherlands, Europe

Our client in the Netherlands is looking for a South African Commissioning Technician to relocate.

We are ideally looking for candidates who can speak basic Dutch / or fluent Afrikaans (and willing to learn Dutch).

As a Commissioning Technician within the Technical Installations Team, your primary responsibility is to commission existing fire alarm systems.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Adherence to Planned Schedules and Instructions: Follow planned schedules, assignments, and work instructions meticulously to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Technical Support in Complex Malfunctions: Provide assistance and support to the service team in troubleshooting and resolving complex malfunctions efficiently.
  • Division of Tasks: Allocate 80% of work time to commissioning activities and 20% to installation tasks as per assigned duties.
  • Administrative Record Keeping: Maintain accurate administrative records, including maintenance reports, logbooks, and time registration, to ensure comprehensive documentation.
  • Projection Drawings Modification: Demonstrate proficiency in modifying or creating projection drawings (As-Build) as needed for project requirements.
  • End-User Education: Educate end-users about fire alarm systems, providing necessary guidance and information to ensure their understanding and proper utilization.
  • Completion of Required Reports: Ensure timely completion of necessary reports, such as the Report of Completion (RvO), to facilitate project documentation and compliance.
  • Management of Vehicle Stock: Oversee the management and maintenance of stock in the service vehicle, maintaining inventory levels and ensuring availability of required supplies.
  • Adherence to Safety, Quality, and Environmental Standards: Prioritise adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards in all work activities to maintain a secure and sustainable work environment.

Requirements:

 

  • Previous experience as a Commissioning Technician for Fire Alarm Systems
  • Relevant tertiary qualification / relevant experience
  • Valid drivers license
