Our client is looking for a Business Development Representative to join their team. We are looking for someone with a solid sales history background in security systems - including tender bids.



  • Managing the corporate accounts - retain and grow existing revenues and wallet share.
  • Ensure your sales targets are achieved.
  • Build a portfolio of customers, both existing and new (business development)
  • Maintain an accurate database of customers, their locations and fields of business.
  • Analyse and monitor the purchase activities of your customer portfolio.
  • Monitor sales trends in the industry as well as amongst customers. Monitor customer prospects, projected and actual sales, opposing activity, pricing, and product specifications.
  • Visit clients regularly to promote company products and, when necessary, to deliver to customers as part of our drive for quality customer service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service excellence, focusing on the retention and churning of customers.
  • Ensure monthly sales budget achievement in all sales-revenue streams.
  • Forecast monthly - product+revenue+margin
  • Measure competencies and identifying training needs.
  • Organise customer launches and demonstrations.
  • Calculate cost comparisons for customers.
  • Monitoring stock requirements and availability for customers.
  • Receiving of all documentation relating to tenders for contracts.
  • Keeping of active records of tender statuses.
  • Compiling specifications and attending specification meeting tenders
  • Following-up with the Management on exchange rate variations for new pricing and submission of price increases.
  • Compiling and submission of term contracts tenders.



  • Previous experience in a similar role, within the security systems sector (preferred).
  • Previous experience handling tender bids.
  • Own vehicle
  • Solid sales track record - including business development
  • Good technical knowledge of security products
  • Previous experience with demonstrations / presentations
  • Be self-motivated when seeking new sales leads.
  • A consistent and high standard of liaising with customers telephonically and face-to-face.
