BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER [MANUFACTURING]

Location: Johannesburg

Our manufacturing client based in Gauteng is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Call on industry professionals (Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Interior Designers, Developers etc.) to promote products to try and get specified on future projects.
  • Maintain national industry professional database.
  • Call on a list of approved installers to builds relations and grow trade sales.
  • Identify/onboard new approved installers.
  • Plan/facilitate training for new approved Installers.
  • Maintain National approved installer list.
  • Manage incoming calls and emails.
  • Manage showroom and facilitate viewings for retail/trade clients.
  • Trade/retail quotations and sales.
  • Review/approve sales teams quotation pricing on adhoc items to ensure set GPs.
  • Review/maintain receipts schedule to ensure correct sales allocations.
  • Maintain detailed call register and manage national sales team’s call registers.
  • Assisting with trade shows.
  • Oversee national online/print advertising.
  • Identify new marketing opportunities.
  • Report on national sales/marketing performance.
  • Attend industry governing body regional meetings/events.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience within the manufacturing sector.
  • Experience liaising/working with and selling to the following professionals: Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Interior Designers, Developers etc.
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle
  • A proven track record of achieving high sales targets.
