BRANCH MANAGER [RETAIL]
Location: Durban
Our client based in Durban is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the branch by increasing sales, profitability, market share and customer and employee satisfaction by co-ordinating sales, branch operations and staff development activities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage staff
- Manage customer service standards
- Manage communication in the work place
- Manage inventory control
- Manage sales performance
- Manage all financial and operational aspects of branch
- Loss control and security
- General admin
- Health and safety
- Manage merchandise and housekeeping
- Manage stock take
- Be accountable and take responsibility for all activities, assets and overall performance of the branch
- Ensure that staff are held accountable for their actions or lack thereof
Requirements:
- Previous experience in as a Branch Manager / Manager in a retail setting
- Proven track record in exceeding sales targets
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Retail, Sales or Management - advantageous
- Own transport / vehicle
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Computer literate
- Problem solving and decision making skills.
- Planning and delegation skills.
- Numerical skills
- Good communication skills.
- Selling skills.
- An enthusiastic, outgoing person who is self-confident, with a positive attitude.
