Location: Centurion

Our National Logistics Client is looking for a Branch manager to run their Centurion branch. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the branch.




  • Ensuring that the Branch is performing against the agreed targets/budgets and managing all costs within the operation.
  • Daily focus on operations to drive excellence and efficiency and effective coordination of the entire site.
  • Overseeing the accuracy and completeness of all paperwork and ensuring that the procedure for purchase orders, stock management, POD Management, etc. is followed correctly.
  • Prompt completion of all relevant reports relating to the distribution activity.
  • Acting as custodian of all assets across the branch and ensuring effective communication across branch employees.
  • Ensuring that the quality of customer care/service and products provided reflect the highest levels of excellence to which the company is committed.
  • Ensuring that the branch and all employees are consistently striving to promote a professional image to customers and to always maintain exemplary standards of operations and an aesthetic appearance.
  • Ensuring that the branch operations, employees and products are safe and comply with safety standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with all aspects of work and processes in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
  • Ensuring time and attendance records are constantly updated and maintained.
  • Motivate staff and maintain a positive work environment.
  • To effectively communicate policies and procedures.
  • Monitor staffing needs and personnel issues.
  • Oversee all linehauls/cargo received and dispatched.
  • Oversee dispatching/receiving processes for all routes.
  • Ensure that routine alcohol tests are done on drivers randomly on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure that random checks are done on daily deliveries to ensure accuracy on delivery attempts.
  • Disciplinary issues are to be dealt with timeously.
  • Continuous assessment of routes.
  • Reports sent daily of branch status.
  • Ensure branch and fleet maintenance is in order.
  • Ensuring that KPI’s are met.
  • Responsible for P&L and KPI feedback.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping.
  • Ensuring that staff induction is done on a continuous basis.
  • Responsible for adoption, conformance and completeness of all deliveries using the inhouse system.




  • Matric
  • Relevant degree or diploma
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in management role / similar senior position in logistics
  • Valid drivers license and own vehicle is essential.
  • Experience working on Logistic management systems
